FORGIVENESS: A way to receive forgiveness from God.

Image
Forgiveness is a gift that a Christian must possess and be ready to freely give out at any time it is needed from him to others, either a fellow believer or an unbeliever.  According to Webster Dictionary - Forgiveness means to cease to feel resentment against (an offender).  With the above definition, we see that there's no forgiveness without forgetting, many Christians justify themselves by saying I can forgive but not forget, which means we didn't let go of the resentment but only deceived ourselves. Forgiveness is a matter of the heart because you can only resent someone in your heart and when offering our worship to God it must come from our heart, how do we now place the worship of our God in a heart full of resentment towards another person. During the teaching about Prayer, the Lord teaches us about forgiveness in prayer and its impact Matt. 6:12 "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors".  This shows that whenever we come to the presen

Are you on good standing?

Image
This topic reminds me of a friend of mine who is currently schooling in one of the prestigious tertiary institutions in this country. He once told me that this sentence, “are you in good standing?” is common among students, especially at the beginning of every session while they await their results. It simply means if they were able to sail through to the next level. In some were found lucky, while others were unable to move to the next level, which might lead to their exit from the institution.     Come to think of it brethren, bringing this to the heavenly race: are you in good standing? This is a question you must answer daily. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says, “Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he falls [into sin] (AMP).  A lot of Christians who think they are sure of themselves, that they will make it to heaven, might not make it to the end because they refused to check on themselves. The man called Jesus

He was despised and rejected--a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised, and we did not care. Who is this man? His name is Jesus.  The man was called Jesus.  I know we have heard about this great man and we will continue to hear about Him because He lives forever.  This great man is the son of God.  He was sent forth to bear the iniquity of men.  He is the one whose birth and death were spoken about by the prophets.  Behold, He is the Lamb of God. After the fall of man in the garden of Eden, there was a need to bring men to God. There was a need to restore the relationship and communication that once existed between God and men.   How can this be done? A man needs to shed His blood to cleanse the sin of men because without the shedding of blood, there can't be remission of sin Heb 9:22b and it has to be blood as of a lamb without blemish and spot. For this to happen, The man called Jesus w

LITTLE FOXES

The Earth today is a place full of pleasure, things that are attracted to the eye, and things an average individual cannot do without. Judging from the huge influence of technology in terms of sophisticated gadgets, and artificial intelligence, we can not deny that we need these things because they help in almost every facet of life, the place of power, money, influence, and top-notch fashion.  All these and many more the world has to offer mankind.  However, as Christian, should we be ignorant of the Devil's devices?  Absolutely no.  The world truly has a lot to offer us but we must be wise and not let the devil take advantage of us songs of Solomon 2:15a say “Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines…”  We should beware of little things that might cost us our LIFE. Nowadays, a lot of things we say like "it does not matter", " it is not bad", "that’s what is trending and in vogue in town" and many words like that all to justify our deed

Cast all your cares upon Him

Image
1Pet. 5:7, Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. - AMP. Why worry when you have The ONE who can take care of all your needs? God has always shown us and told us that HE is our father and HE called us HIS son. One of the responsibilities of a responsible father is to cater to the need of his children while it is the responsibility of the child to trust his father and take all his care (needs) to him. Apostle Peter shows us a dimension of GOD as the one that takes care of His people. Cares which is interpreted as anxiety or worry.  Anxiety means an overwhelming sense of apprehension and fears often marked by physical signs (such as tension, sweating, and increased pulse rate), doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it (Merriam Webster dictionary.) Anxiety will alway
