Cast all your cares upon Him
1Pet. 5:7, Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. - AMP.
Why worry when you have The ONE who can take care of all your needs?
God has always shown us and told us that HE is our father and HE called us HIS son. One of the responsibilities of a responsible father is to cater to the need of his children while it is the responsibility of the child to trust his father and take all his care (needs) to him. Apostle Peter shows us a dimension of GOD as the one that takes care of His people.
Cares which is interpreted as anxiety or worry. Anxiety means an overwhelming sense of apprehension and fears often marked by physical signs (such as tension, sweating, and increased pulse rate), doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it (Merriam Webster dictionary.)
Anxiety will always be, as a human, and because of uncertainties that surround life, things we can not control, worry about the future and this can bring upon us heaviness and discouragement as we walk in life, but gracious is the Father that has shown us the way out by asking us to give it all to him.
1Pet.5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God...(NLT).
It shows that God is interested in those things that make you anxious, the future, your family, business, finance, employment, health, relationship e.t.c. This goes beyond giving God your time and money. He also wants you to give him your worries so he can take care of them for you.
TRUST HIM - The first way as a child of God to give your care unto God is to trust that he can take care of them. You only allow a person to help you handle a situation whom you trust has the capability of taking care of it, it is this same way you have to believe God has been doing it and He can still do it and more than you can imagine.
Eph 3:20 "Now unto him, that can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" the above scriptures reveal to us that the Father can do exceeding abundantly than what we ask, think, or care for and this settles the case for us because His power is at work within us as His son.
Why then worry when you have a Father that is more than enough and can do more than enough for you?
Cast it all upon Him, see Him take care of it all, and live a peaceful and fulfilled life in Him.
