INTERVIEW WITH SIS OLAIDE LAWAL

Sis Olaide: Good evening ma.

Interviewer: It's so good to have you here ma.

Sis Olaide: Thank you ma

Interviewer: So, can we meet you ma? Tell us about you.

Sis Olaide: Okay ma. My name is Olaide, Temitope Lawal. I am an indigene of Kwara state. A student of the department of the Marketing department, Faculty of Management Science. I am from a family of 8 and I am the fifth born.


Interviewer: What course did you choose initially?

 Sis Olaide: Finance

Interviewer: Would you mind sharing your admission story with us? Was it your first Jamb and how did you feel when you finally got in?

Sis Olaide: Actually, I gain admission through Direct entry. That is, it was through IJMB.

Interviewer: Was it your first attempt?

 Sis Olaide: No. I finish my SSCE in the year 2014 and wrote WEAC three times because I was looking for a subject (English Language). I took Jamb in the year 2016 which I score 236 but I wasn't given Admission. In the year 2018, a friend of mine told me about IJMB in which with the help of God she gain admission to 200l I decided to give it a try. I wrote my second Jamb in the year 2018 in which I scored 214, and took my IJMB exam that same year in which I have 11 points. But UNILORIN didn't give me an admission that same year not until 2019.

Interviewer: Was there any point during this wait that you felt like giving up on a University education?

 Sis Olaide:No. Right from the time I love education, I always have this belief within me that one day God will intervene and show up for me even though it seems difficult at the period.

Interviewer: What if you are not currently studying this course you are studying, what course would you rather be studying?

 Sis Olaide: My intention right from time is Accounting but as time goes on I began to like Marketing as a course.

Interviewer: So, are you single in the Lord or Single and searching or engaged or maybe married?

 Sis Olaide: Single in the Lord.

Interviewer: Give us a brief detail of your educational background. Primary & Secondary.

Sis Olaide: I attended Noble Nursery and Primary School, Okokomaiko Lagos state. The year 2003-2008. And attend Evergreen Comprehensive High School,  Afromedia, Okokomaiko Lagos State. The year 2008-2014.

Interviewer: Were you a prefect in school? You look like someone perfect for the head girl

 Sis Olaide: Not at all ma. My set wasn't given perfect 

Interviewer: Asides from being a fine sister in the Lord, what other activities are your hobbies?

Sis Olaide: Hobbies: cooking, listening to music (Oriki) specifically, and watching wrestling.

Interviewer: Wow. It's watching wrestling for me. Share your experience as a child. 😌

Sis Olaide: I was trained by my elder brothers because mum's work doesn't give her time to look after us. She goes to work by 5 am and comes back by 11 pm or 12 am because of traffic. Sometimes on Sunday, we do all things together when she's around. But she gives us all we want while my dad visit us and stayed for 4 months before going back because I am from a polygamous family. But it was awesome only that I can't forget those belts, canes, and punishments I was given when I was young.

Interviewer: What department do you belong to at church and are you currently holding any position?

 Sis Olaide: Choir department, Decorating unit, prayer band, technical unit, and Sister's intercessor. By the grace of God, I am holding the post of Vice President of the church and Disciplinary Officer in the choir department.

Interviewer: Do you have a side hustle or work asides from schooling? If yes, would you mind telling us about it and how you started?

 Sis Olaide: Yes I do, I am into the production and distribution of Liquid soap, insecticide, Toilet wash, Air freshener, Dettol, and a lot more..... I started during the Pandemic around June 2020 with only the production of Insecticide with a little amount of #3000. And learn more through online lectures and put them to practice. I am also a fashion designer.

Interviewer: How are you able to juggle School, Fellowship with God, Positions at school/church, and business? That is a lot for anyone to handle. 

Can you share actionable tips on how you were able to work everything out without one affecting the other?

Sis Olaide: Truly, at a point, it affected me but before the test and exam period I do excess of these products. Once it is finished it will be after the test and exam period before I produce more. But I don't allow anything to after my fellowship with God even at a point I feel tried but God's grace always sustains me.

Interviewer: What day do you consider the best and worse day of your life?

 Sis Olaide: The best was when Jesus found me, and the worse day was when I had an issue with my legs.

Interviewer: What would be your advice to non-believers?

 Sis Olaide: My advice to Unbelievers is to give their life to Christ before it is too late.

Interviewer: With the rise of false pastors and funny doctrines, what would you advise believers

 Sis Olaide: My advice to believers is:  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision:

Titus:1: 9 - 10.

Interviewer: What is your favorite Bible verse and why do you like this verse?

Sis Olaide: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. He found me when men forsake me.

Interviewer: I'd love you to share your Christian experience.

 Sis Olaide: I gave my life to Christ in the year 2013 and accepted him as my Lord and personal savior in the year 2019 after all hope is lost. Ever since then, he has been a father to me indeed.

Interviewer: Do you have a mentor? Who is this person and why did you choose the person as a mentor?

Interviewer Sis Olaide: Yes. Pastor and Mrs. Ajiboye S.P. Their lifestyle speaks of Christ.

Interviewer: If I ask you to give a shout-out now to people who have influenced your journey in Life greatly, who and who would you give a shout-out to

Sis Olaide: My shout-out goes to Pastor and Mrs. Ajiroba, Prof. Mrs. Dominic,  Bro Timothy, Bro Gideon, Sis Temitope Balogun, all the Sis Esthers, Bro Emmanuel Olaleye, Bro Sunday Emmanuel, Bro Emmanuel Ayienigba, Sis Adeola and everyone who has impacted my life in one way or other in Halleluya Chapel

Interviewer: What was your first impression of Halleluyah Chapel? Is that impression still intact till now?

 Sis Olaide: My first impression is they stay too long but now I love every bit of the services.

Interviewer: Describe daddy Ajiroba in 3 words.

 Sis Olaide: He is a lovely Father, Teacher, and Disciplinary man

Interviewer: Who are those you consider your closest pals at Hallelujah Chapel? People you would miss too when you graduate from here.

Interviewer: After University Education, what's next?

 Sis Olaide: Accomplishing more degrees, Studying more on Taxation, Establishing my business in standard form
