Christ's Ambassador
An ambassador is simply known as an official messenger and representative of a country in a foreign country. An Ambassador is given freedom in a foreign country. They are highly respected to perform activities especially in protecting the interest of their country in the foreign country.
Christians are known to be the ambassador of Christ in this world in which we have been commissioned to present and protect the interest of our country. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
This is the great task committed to us by our country leader Jesus Christ to bring unto his kingdom the people of the world and we cannot afford to ignore this assignment. An ambassador representing his country in a foreign country will never forget his primary assignment in that country so also we must not forget our primary assignment. The foreign country can decide to give him chance to become a citizen but the decision is left to him.
James 4:4 says ...know ye not that the friendship of the world is the enmity with God?
Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. As we continue to represent Christ here on earth we must not accept the offer of the world to become her friend, or else we become enemies to our creator.
Being Christ’s Ambassador does not mean you are going to be a pastor or bishop. Not everyone will be on the pulpit nor do we have everyone into politics. Likewise, all of us will not become a businessperson and so on like that in various fields but the goal is that anywhere we found ourselves as Christ’s Ambassador we should endeavor to represent him well and make Christ proud.
Finally, we must equip ourselves well because not everyone will accept our message and they might go to any extent to persecute us for being Christ’s Ambassador, we must not renounce or deny him.
2 Corinthians 4:17 “for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
We are his ambassadors here on earth. Hallelujah.
Huh. More grace
